SAE1 Rabbit pAb

SAE1 is a subunit of the heterodimeric SUMO activating enzyme consisting of SAE1 and SAE2. Matured SUMO is conjugated onto the catalytic cysteine residue of SAE2 by formation of a thioester bond in an ATP-dependent reaction. The activated SUMO is then passed on to UbE2I (an E2) to be attached to a substrate.
