Details
Aprotinin is a 58 amino acid small protein derived from bovine lung tissue that is highly positively charged and contains three disulfide bonds. It is a competitive inhibitor of several serine proteases, including trypsin, chymotrypsin, thrombin, and plasmin. In clinical, it is used as an anti-clotting agent for reducing bleeding. This product is for research use only. Typical working concentration is 2 µg/ml.
Protease Inhibitor Stock Solution Preparation:
100X or 1000X stock solution preparation (after fully dissolved, aliquot to small volume, and store at -20 0C). - Aprotinin (catalog # P1053): Dissolve 20 mg in 10 ml of water or PBS to get 2 mg/ml stock (1000X). Working concentration is 2 µg/ml. - Leupeptin Hemisulfate (catalog # P1057): Dissolve 10 mg in 2.1 ml of DMSO or water to get 10 mM stock (1000X).
