MINDY-1 (FAM63A) is a deubiquitinase that contains a tandem motif interacting with ubiquitin (MIU) that selectively binds lysine 48-linked polyubiquitin. MINDY-1 prefers to cleave lysine 48-linked long polyubiquitin chains.
