VCP (bovine)

Valosin – containing protein (VCP, p97, or cdc48 in yeast) is a conserved hexameric type II member of the AAA ATPase family. It has been shown to be involved in a diverse array of cellular functions; the main function is in mediating ER-associated protein degradation.

Details

Valosin – containing protein (VCP, p97, or cdc48 in yeast) is a conserved hexameric type II member of the AAA ATPase family. It has been shown to be involved in a diverse array of cellular functions; the main function is in mediating ER-associated protein degradation. This protein was purified from bovine red blood cells.
