Kanamycin Sulfate

Kanamycin sulfate is an aminoglycosidic antibiotic that inhibits the growth of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and mycoplasmas in cell culture.


Preparation of 1000X stock at 50 mg/ml: 1) Dissolve 5 grams of Kanamycin sulfate in 100 ml distilled water. 2) Vortex to make sure completely soluble. 3) Sterile by filtering through a 0.2 µm filter. 4) Aliquot and store at -20 0C for up to six months.


Working Concentration: 50 µg/mL.
