PYR-41

PYR-41 is a cell-permeable, irreversible ubiquitin-activating enzyme (E1) inhibitor (IC50 < 10 μM). Treatment of cells with PYR-41 inhibits overall protein ubiquitination, prevents ubiquitin-mediated proteasomal degradation, and inhibits pathways mediated by the ubiquitin-proteasome. It has also been found that PYR-41 treatment increases protein sumoylation in cells.
